| Obverse description | The crowned Portuguese royal arms occupy the central field, depicting the traditional shield bearing five escutcheons charged with bezants arranged in a cross, with a bordure of castles, all surmounted by a royal crown. The denomination 320 appears to the left of the shield, flanked on the right by three cinquefoils arranged vertically. The date is split across the upper field on either side of the crown. A circular Latin legend surrounds the entire design, separated from the dentilated border by a raised rim. |
