| Obverse description | Central field bearing a three-line Arabic inscription reading 'Allah / Al-Hakim / bi-amr' (God, the Sovereign, by His command), executed in bold raised Naskh script. The legends are arranged horizontally across the flan within a plain border, characteristic of the hammered billon jitals of the Tughluqid period. The die work is robust though slightly off-centre, consistent with the irregular hand-struck production of Delhi Sultanate subsidiary coinage. |
