| Obverse description | The Paraguayan national arms occupy the central field, featuring a five-pointed star within a radiant glory encircled by an olive branch on the left and a palm branch on the right, all enclosed within a wreath. The date '19 74' is divided across the lower field flanking the shield, with the denomination '3000 GUARANIES' inscribed below. Issued as part of Paraguay's extended run of commemorative gold pieces produced under the Stroessner dictatorship, this coin belongs to a series that had little to do with Paraguayan history and everything to do with hard currency generation. The country contracted foreign mints — primarily in Switzerland — to strike these issues almost exclusively for the international collector market. Churchill had no particular connection to Paraguay.
KM#140 was struck in 1974, nearly a decade after Churchill's death in January 1965.
