Cameroon has issued coins through the Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale for decades, but the country's name has also appeared on a long-running series of collector pieces with no domestic circulation whatsoever — produced entirely for the international numismatic market, typically through European distributors. This is one of those. The "New York" designation is a theme, not a monetary reality.
