| Obverse description | The obverse features an ornate Evangelical tetramorph composition: the winged figure of an angel (symbol of Saint Matthew) appears at upper left holding a book, and an eagle (symbol of Saint John) at upper right likewise holding a book, both rendered in high relief. At lower left and lower right, a winged lion (symbol of Saint Mark) and a winged bull (symbol of Saint Luke) respectively hold books, forming a symmetrical quartered arrangement around the central field. At centre, the gilded Greek letters Alpha (Α) and Omega (Ω) are prominently displayed, symbolising the beginning and the end. The encircling legend reads REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN, with the denomination 3000 FRANCS CFA and date 2021 completing the inscription. |
