| Reverse description | Hermes, the Olympian god of trade, travel, and communication, is depicted in high relief at centre, rendered in a dynamic, classically inspired style with fine drapery and detailed musculature. His attribute, the caduceus — a winged herald's staff entwined with two serpents — is prominently featured with selective gilding highlighting the wings and serpents against the antique-finished silver ground. The reverse legend 'HERMES' appears in bold Latin capitals, serving as the sole inscription on this face. The field is treated with a richly detailed antique finish that accentuates the sculptural depth of the design. |

| Additional information |
The Hermes series, issued under Cameroon's authorization but produced entirely for the international collector market by European minting houses, has no meaningful connection to Cameroonian monetary history. Cameroon has been a member of the CFA franc zone since independence in 1960, making the "3000 Francs" denomination a legal fiction calibrated to collector price points rather than any circulating currency. These pieces are struck to order and never enter domestic circulation.
