Chad's issuance here is purely commercial — the country has used its franc CFA monetary authority to license a long series of micro-gold collectibles aimed squarely at the European commemorative market, with no meaningful domestic circulation intended. The Berlin Wall fell on the night of November 9, 1989, after East Germany's announcement of relaxed travel regulations was misread by a spokesman live on television, triggering crowds that overwhelmed border guards before any official order was given.
