| Reverse description | The reverse features a highly detailed relief depiction of an ocellaris clownfish (Amphiprion ocellaris) shown in profile, swimming rightward above a naturalistic coral reef seabed with branching and encrusting coral formations in the lower field. The fish's characteristic white body bands and dark-edged fins are rendered with fine engraving detail against a polished field. The scientific name AMPHIPRION OCELLARIS is inscribed in bold lettering arcing along the upper periphery within a darkened border band. |

The BEAC issues collector gold in fractional weights with some regularity, but 0.0311 g — exactly one-thousandth of a troy ounce — places this among the smallest gold coins commercially produced anywhere. At that weight, the gold content is worth only a few dollars at spot, making the premium over melt almost entirely a collector's proposition rather than a bullion one.
