| Obverse description | Central field features an ornate decorative panel modelled after a historic manuscript book cover or binding, rendered in high relief with elaborate interlaced geometric and floral motifs arranged in a diamond-within-rectangle composition, enclosing the Hungarian coat of arms at its centre. The design is framed by a beaded border and flanked by four small floral rosettes at the cardinal points of the inner field. The legend MAGYAR KÖZTÁRSASÁG arcs across the upper periphery, while the denomination 3000 FORINT appears along the lower periphery in bold raised lettering. The mint mark BP. and year of issue 2002 are inscribed in the lower left field, with the engraver's initials visible at lower right. |
