Additional information

Hungary's film history begins with Itáliai szerelem (1911), typically cited as the first domestically produced Hungarian feature, though the industry's true founding moment is contested — some historians point to earlier actualities and short subjects from as far back as 1896. The centennial this coin marks is less a clean anniversary than a diplomatic rounding toward a usable number.
