| Reverse description | A finely detailed high-relief depiction of a pig standing in profile facing left, rendered with careful naturalistic detail including textured hide and muddy ground beneath its hooves. The year of issue 2007 appears vertically along the left field, while the Chinese character 豬 (Pig) is positioned to the right of the central motif. The legend 1 KILO 9999 GOLD appears in the lower exergue, and the design is framed by a beaded inner border. |

| Additional information |
The 2007 Year of the Pig completed Perth Mint's first full twelve-year Lunar Series I cycle, which had begun with the 1996 Year of the Rat. At the 1 kilogram denomination, mintage was capped at just 88 pieces — the number chosen for its significance in Chinese numerology, where eight is strongly associated with prosperity and good fortune. That ceiling has never been revised upward.
