Obverse description The field depicts a detailed multi-figure scene in high relief showing the presentation of the Augsburg Confession: Emperor Charles V, enthroned at left attended by ecclesiastical figures, receives the document from a kneeling chancellor, surrounded by a group of Protestant princes and delegates. The engravers' signatures G. LOOS DIR. and C. PFEUFFER FEC. appear in the lower exergue, with the date AM 25 IUNI 1530 inscribed on a raised panel below the scene. The circumferential legend runs around the entire border of the medal.

Reverse description The reverse field depicts two full-length standing figures in high relief: Martin Luther at left, his right arm raised in a preaching gesture, and Philipp Melanchthon at right, leaning forward with hand pointing downward. Between them stands a classical altar or lectern bearing an open Bible inscribed IEREM. / K.22 V.29. A circumferential legend runs around the entire border of the medal.
