| Obverse description | A large intaglio vignette to the left presents the head of Cérès in three-quarter view, wearing a draped headdress adorned with wheat ears, rendered in a fine classical engraving style. The denomination '300' appears in the upper right, with 'BANQUE DE FRANCE' in letterpress across the top, while the lower margin carries the full legend 'TROIS CENTS FRANCS'.
