| Obverse description | The obverse rim bears selective rose gold plating, framing the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as depicted at approximately 77 years of age, bare-headed, wearing a necklace and earrings, facing right — based on the Susanna Blunt portrait used on Canadian coinage from 2003. Flanking the effigy is a commemorative double-date marking reading '1952' and '2022,' separated by four pearls symbolising the four royal effigies that graced Canadian coinage during the reign of Elizabeth II. A repeating scallop pattern encircles the inner border, lending a decorative yet regal character to the design.
