Reverse description The reverse depicts a sculptural arrangement of three large maple leaves rendered in high relief at the centre of the frosted platinum field, each finished in a distinct precious-metal tone: the dominant central and upper leaf in gold plating, the lower-left leaf in rose gold plating, and the lower-right leaf in polished platinum, symbolizing gold, rose gold, and platinum respectively. A small cluster of three miniature maple leaves appears at the lower centre beneath the main grouping, flanked by the engraver's initials NL to the right. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper periphery, PLATINUM 1 OZ PLATINE curves along the lower periphery, with the purity mark 9995 at the left field and the commemorative anniversary dates 1996 / 2021 at the right field. The coin's rim is finished with a distinctive rose gold plating, adding further chromatic contrast to the multi-toned design.
