Reverse description The reverse features a finely detailed, high-relief portrait of a Scimitar-toothed cat (Homotherium), depicted in three-quarter profile with its massive jaws agape, prominently displaying its characteristic elongated upper canine teeth and finely engraved fur texture. The design is contained within an inner beaded circle, with the legend CANADA arcing along the upper rim and 300 DOLLARS along the lower rim in bold raised lettering. To the lower right of the central device, the date 2008, purity mark 9995, and platinum designation Pt are inscribed in the field. The composition is executed in the manner of Christie Paquet, combining deeply frosted relief against a mirror-polished background in classic proof finish.
