The shield bears an inuksuk, a gold nugget, the Royal Crown atop an igloo, and a star, faithful to the territorial coat of arms. A scroll at the base carries the Inuktitut inscription in syllabics. The denomination 300 DOLLARS and country name CANADA arc along the upper periphery, while the date 2012 appears below the shield.
