Reverse description The reverse displays the full Arms of Nunavut rendered in high relief at the centre of the field, supported by a caribou dexter and a narwhal sinister, both depicted in intricate detail. The shield bears an inuksuk, a gold nugget, the Royal Crown atop an igloo, and a star, faithful to the territorial coat of arms. A scroll at the base carries the Inuktitut inscription in syllabics. The denomination 300 DOLLARS and country name CANADA arc along the upper periphery, while the date 2012 appears below the shield. The design, engraved by Christie Paquet, celebrates the territory of Nunavut with exceptional goldsmithing craftsmanship.
