Additional information

The Muskox issue was the fourth in the Royal Canadian Mint's platinum Wildlife series, which launched in 1990 as one of the first national platinum bullion and proof programs in the world. Canada's position as a major platinum producer gave the series a commercial logic that other mints couldn't easily replicate. Mintage on these proof issues was capped at 500 pieces.
