| Obverse description | A detailed architectural view of the Chora Church (Kariye Camii) in Istanbul occupies the central field, rendered with fine engraving showing its characteristic Byzantine domes, arched windows, and a later Ottoman minaret to the right. A flock of birds in flight is depicted above the building against a mirror-polished field. The curved legend TURKiYE CUMHURiYETi arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin lettering. A crescent and star device appears at the base of the building, with the denomination 30 YTL and the date 2007 inscribed in the exergue. |
