Obverse description Large draped and armored bust of Ferdinando I facing right, with long flowing hair tied at the back, rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail. The denomination mark 'T.30.' appears in the exergue below the truncation. The circumferential Latin legend is separated from the central device by a plain inner border and an outer border of elongated beaded dentils. The portrait is rendered in the late Baroque Neapolitan manner characteristic of late 18th-century Sicilian coinage.

Obverse lettering FERDINAN D G - SICIL ET HIER REX
Reverse description A phoenix rising from flames faces right, symbolizing dynastic renewal and resilience, with a radiant sun depicted at the upper right of the field. The date appears below the central device in the exergue. The reverse legend, divided into four segments, is arranged around the periphery within a dentilated border matching that of the obverse. The composition alludes to the motto of regeneration from adversity, consistent with the iconographic programme of the Bourbon kings of Sicily.
