| Obverse description | Central field features a stylized humped bull (Nandi) depicted in profile walking to the right, rendered in the schematic, boldly relief hammered style characteristic of Chandra dynasty bracteates. The animal's musculature and posture are conveyed through deeply impressed, fluid lines with a pronounced hump and raised tail. The central device is enclosed within a single raised circular border, itself surrounded by a continuous outer ring of large raised pellets distributed evenly around the periphery. The broad, thin flan exhibits natural toning and patination typical of tenth-century South Asian silver bracteates. No legible legend or Brahmi inscription is visible in the field on this side. |
