| Obverse description | The Cuban national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a shield divided into three sections: the upper portion bears a golden key between two rocky promontories and a radiant sun, the lower-left section displays alternating blue and white diagonal stripes representing the original Cuban departments, and the lower-right section features a royal palm tree. The shield is surmounted by a Phrygian cap on a staff and flanked by an oak branch to the left and a laurel branch to the right, tied at the base. The legend REPUBLICA DE CUBA arcs along the upper rim within a rope border, with 3 OZ to the lower left, AG 0.999 to the lower right, and 30 PESOS at the bottom, all within an ornamental border of repeated geometric motifs. |
