| Obverse description | Laureate head of Zeus Eleutherios facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed wavy hair and a full beard with curling locks. The modelling is vigorous and characteristic of late Classical Syracusan engraving. The ethnic legend ΣΥΡΑΚΟΣΙΩΝ curves around the field, partially visible along the right and left periphery of the flan. |
