Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Hieronymus facing left, rendered in fine Hellenistic style with wavy locks of hair flowing behind the neck. The youthful portrait displays pronounced facial features characteristic of royal Syracusan coinage, with the diadem — the symbol of Hellenistic kingship — prominently tied around the head. The hair is elaborately detailed with deeply engraved curling strands, and a small control mark appears in the right field.
