Obverse description The obverse is printed in dark brown on cream paper and divided into three vertical panels framed by stylised Gothic tracery arches with trefoil terminals. The central panel contains a shield-shaped vignette of the Karner (charnel house) of Lorch, rendered in fine line illustration with grave crosses in the foreground and clouds above. The denomination '30 HELLER' appears in the left and right panels, with the issuer legend 'GEMEINDE LORCH.' running along the lower border within a ruled frame.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in dark brown on cream paper and carries, on the left, a vignette of a classical stone pedestal or altar bearing the Latin inscription 'SVA PECVNIA CIVITAS LAVREACENSIS', decorated with scrollwork and resting on a hatched base. To the right, a block of Gothic-lettered text in German sets out the legal terms of issue, dated 'LORCH AM 15. MAI 1920', followed by the designation 'DER BÜRGERMEISTER:' and a facsimile signature. The printer's imprint 'Buchdruckerei Enns' appears in the lower right corner.
