| Obverse description | At center, the national arms of the Democratic Republic of the Congo are depicted in high relief against a mirror-polished field: a leopard's head facing front, flanked by a crossed elephant tusk and a spear, mounted on a trophy base inscribed PAIX, with the mottoes JUSTICE and TRAVAIL flanking the central device.
