| Obverse description | Draped half-length bust of Sigismund III Vasa facing right, wearing richly ornamented armor with elaborate engraved decoration and a large lace ruff collar at the throat, the king depicted with short hair, mustache, and pointed beard in the fashion of the early seventeenth century. The effigy is rendered in high relief with exceptional detail on the armorial shoulder pieces and mantle. The mintmaster's initials SA appear in the lower field. The circular Latin legend reads: SIGISMVNDVS III D G POLONIAE ET SVECIAE REX S A. |
