Additional information

The Perth Mint's annual Lunar Series has run across three consecutive twelve-year cycles, making 2022's Tiger issue the third iteration of that animal in the modern Australian program. The .9999 fineness designation — four nines fine — is a step above the more common .999 standard and requires additional refining passes that the Perth Mint has marketed as a point of distinction since adopting it broadly in the 2000s.

The "Longevity" sub-theme placed this coin within a subset release alongside "Strength" and "Good Luck" variants, each carrying the same specifications but different reverse treatments — a merchandising structure the mint has used to increase per-series revenue without altering the underlying bullion content.
