Obverse description The obverse presents a nature-themed decorative field surrounding the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as portrayed at 77 years of age, bare-headed, wearing a necklace and earrings, facing right. This portrait, attributed to the Susanna Blunt effigy, is accompanied by the commemorative dual dates '1952' and '2022' separated by four pearls, symbolising the four distinct royal effigies that appeared on Canadian coinage throughout the sovereign's reign. The legend arcs above and around the portrait in Latin. The overall design acknowledges the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty's reign.
