| Reverse description | The reverse is a richly detailed commemorative composition paying tribute to the Red Knight, the Royal Canadian Air Force Training Command's celebrated aerobatic performer active from 1958 to 1969. In the foreground, a Canadair-built T-33 Silver Star is depicted executing an aerobatic manoeuvre, while its successor, the Canadair CT-114 Tutor, appears in the background; both aircraft are rendered in their iconic red liveries of the 1960s. The Red Knight emblem, in red, gold, and white, is prominently featured alongside the pre-1965 RCAF Roundel incorporating the maple leaf, which serves as a bold compositional backdrop. The upper legend reads ROYAL CANADIAN AIR FORCE, with the aircraft serial number 21574 and the initials DO appearing in the field. Historical consultation for the design was provided by authors J.C. Corrigan and D.V. Dempsey. |
