| Obverse description | At the upper portion of the obverse face of this cast rectangular silver bar, a circular coin-form medallion bears the fourth-portrait effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, as engraved by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the initials IRB truncated below the neck. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II 30 DOLLARS COOK ISLANDS, with the date 2012 below the portrait. Below the medallion, the field displays in raised cast lettering: 1000 g COIN / FINE SILVER / 999,9. At the lower portion, a second circular medallion depicts the hallmark device of the German refinery Heimerle + Meule, founded 1845, with the inscription 1845 beneath the figure. The refiner's name HEIMERLE + MEULE appears in a raised cartouche at the very base of the bar. |
