Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as depicted by Susanna Blunt, showing the monarch at approximately 77 years of age, bareheaded, wearing a necklace and drop earrings. The legend encircling the field reads ELIZABETH II, CANADA, 2017, D·G·REGINA, and 30 DOLLARS. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a flat field, consistent with the fourth definitive effigy used on Canadian coinage from 2003 onward.
