Obverse description The obverse bears the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicting the Queen in right-facing portrait, bare-headed, wearing a necklace and drop earrings. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA arcs along the upper rim, with CANADA inscribed along the lower rim. The effigy reflects the Queen's likeness at approximately 77 years of age, rendered in fine relief against a polished field.
