Reverse description Central field features a fully coloured rendition of the Canadian Royal Arms, depicting the quartered shield supported by a lion rampant or to the left and a unicorn argent to the right, surmounted by a crowned lion statant guardant upon a wreath. The supporters stand on a compartment of flowers, and a scroll beneath bears the motto A MARI USQUE AD MARE in coloured enamel. The Union Flag and the Royal Banner of France appear as flags flanking the crown above the shield. Twelve maple leaf shaped cutouts are pierced through the coin in a ring encircling the central coat of arms, echoing the obverse border treatment.
