Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, depicting a mature, uncrowned portrait with a draped neckline and pearl necklace. The legend 'CANADA' arcs across the upper field, while 'ELIZABETH II' runs vertically along the right border and '30 DOLLARS' runs vertically along the left border. The engraver's initials 'SB' appear below the truncation of the bust. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field, characteristic of Royal Canadian Mint commemorative coinage.
