Obverse description Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, portrayed at approximately 64 years of age, after the model by Dora de Pédery-Hunt. The Queen is shown wearing the George IV State Diadem, a necklace, and drop earrings, rendered in fine relief against a polished field. The legend arcs around the upper periphery, with the date flanking the effigy at the lower left and right.
