Obverse description The sixth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Jody Clark, occupies the central field, depicting the monarch in right-facing profile wearing the George IV State Diadem, pearl drop earrings, and a pearl necklace. The portrait is contained within a recessed inner circle, with the surrounding flat border bearing the circumferential legend. The legend reads ELIZABETH II above, flanked by the regnal dates 1952–2022, with AUSTRALIA to the right. Along the lower border, the inscriptions 1KILO, 9999 Ag, and 30 DOLLARS denote the coin's weight, fineness, and face value. The engraver's initials JC appear in small relief to the lower left of the portrait.

Reverse description The reverse presents a highly detailed, dynamic depiction of a Chinese imperial dragon rendered in high relief, its scaled serpentine body coiling across the full field in a frontal composition. The dragon is shown face-on with an imposing, whiskered visage framed by flowing mane and flame-like whiskers, its four clawed feet extending outward amid stylised clouds and cresting waves that fill the surrounding field. A flaming pearl, symbolic of wisdom and prosperity in Chinese iconographic tradition, appears in the lower left quadrant beneath the dragon's body. In the lower centre of the field, the Chinese character 龍 (dragon) is displayed in a decorative square seal-script cartouche, accompanied by the English legend DRAGON and the date 2024 beneath. The Perth Mint's commemorative reference P125 appears to the right of the character, and the engraver's initials IJ are incused subtly at the right inner border.
