| Additional information |
The Wedge-Tailed Eagle series has been a Perth Mint staple since 2014, but the ultra high relief format applied here demands extraordinary die pressure and severely limits throughput — each planchet requires multiple strikes, and the 1-kilogram format compounds that strain considerably. Perth has never disclosed exact production figures for this release, though the reverse proof finish, which inverts the frosted and mirrored surfaces from convention, adds another stage of handling that further constrains yield.
The .9999 fineness is notably purer than the .999 standard common to most bullion-adjacent issues in this weight class.
