Obverse description The obverse features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, facing right with a tiara and wearing a pearl earring. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left periphery, with AUSTRALIA reading down the right side. The denomination 30 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower rim, flanked by raised dots forming an inner beaded border. The engraver's initials IRB appear beneath the truncation of the bust. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a polished field, characteristic of Perth Mint bullion coinage.
