Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, is portrayed in right-facing profile wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the upper left field, while 'AUSTRALIA 2014' continues along the upper right. The denomination '30 DOLLARS' is inscribed along the lower arc, flanked by decorative stops. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear in small relief beneath the truncation of the neck.

Reverse description The reverse presents a dynamic composition of eight galloping horses rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field, evoking the celebrated theme of the Eight Horses of Mu Wang from Chinese tradition. The horses are depicted in vigorous motion, their manes and tails flowing with energy, arranged in an overlapping group that fills the central field. To the lower right, the Chinese character '馬' (horse) is inscribed, identifying the subject of the composition. The engraver's initials 'CL' appear in the lower left field. A broad raised border encircles the design, decorated with a continuous ring of ornate floral rosette motifs, and the inscription '1 kg .999 SILVER' is engraved along the lower exergual band.
