Eucalyptus leaves and branches frame the composition on both sides. The legend AUSTRALIAN KOALA arcs along the upper border, and the inscription 2011 1KILO 999 SILVER appears along the lower exergue. The Perth Mint's P mintmark is positioned to the right of the juvenile koala.
