Additional information

The 1-kilogram Kookaburra is among the largest silver bullion coins produced by any sovereign mint, and Perth has issued the series annually since 1990 with a different kookaburra design each year — a deliberate policy to drive collector demand alongside bullion value. The 2003–2004 issue falls under Elizabeth II's Ian Rank-Broadley portrait, introduced to Australian coinage in 1999.

At this size, die pressure and cooling rates during striking create minor surface inconsistencies that are entirely normal for the format and should not be mistaken for damage.
