Reverse description The reverse, also executed entirely in embossed gold foil relief on a dark ground, carries a large central underwater scene from the Caribbean reef environment, with Fan Worms and coral formations to the left and two reef fish — a Blackbar Soldierfish and a Squirrelfish — swimming over Boulder Coral at lower centre, each specimen individually labelled. The scene is enclosed within an ornate border with foliate corner ornaments and denomination numeral "30" in each corner, with the issuer legend along the top and the value tablet "THIRTY DOLLARS" in a recessed panel at the base.
