| Obverse description | At centre, a decorative floral rosette occupies the field. Four Chinese ideograms are arranged reading top to bottom and right to left around the central motif. Manchu script characters flank the design on either side, while additional Chinese ideograms appear in the upper and lower registers. The overall layout is symmetrical and follows the conventions of Qing dynasty provincial coinage. |

| Reverse description | A sinuous Chinese dragon is depicted at centre, with a flaming pearl below its head and a stylised mountain motif at the base. The dragon is rendered in the typical late Qing imperial style with scaled body and outstretched claws. A circular English legend surrounds the central design along the periphery of the coin. |
