Obverse description At centre, a decorative floral rosette occupies the field. Four Chinese ideograms are arranged reading top to bottom and right to left around the central motif. Manchu script characters flank the design on either side, while additional Chinese ideograms appear in the upper and lower registers. The overall layout is symmetrical and follows the conventions of Qing dynasty provincial coinage.
