| Additional information |
Cambodia's Indochinese tiger population collapsed almost entirely by the 1990s, the result of habitat fragmentation, prey depletion, and unchecked poaching through the civil conflict years. A 2016 WWF assessment confirmed the subspecies functionally extinct in the country — no breeding population remained. The National Bank of Cambodia has issued wildlife-themed bullion and commemorative series intermittently since the 1990s, often targeting the international collector market rather than domestic circulation.
