| Reverse description | The reverse presents two Indochinese tigers in a naturalistic jungle setting, one reclining in the foreground and a second emerging from dense foliage in the background, both rendered in high relief with fine striped detailing. Tropical leaves and branches frame the composition around the upper and lower portions of the field. The legend LOST TIGERS OF CAMBODIA arcs prominently along the upper rim, while the fineness and weight inscription 1 OZ 999.9 FINE GOLD appears in small lettering along the lower field. The overall design conveys a conservation-themed artistic style evoking the endangered status of the Cambodian tiger population. |

| Additional information |
Cambodia's Indochinese tiger population collapsed through the late twentieth century under a combination of habitat loss and poaching pressure, with the last confirmed in-country sighting recorded in 2007. The species is now considered functionally extinct within Cambodian borders — making this a memorial issue in all but name.
