Obverse description The obverse features a central multi-line bilingual inscription in Turkish and English commemorating April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, arranged within the recessed field. The legend 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' curves along the upper inner border, flanked symmetrically on each side by the Turkish crescent-and-star symbol. The denomination '30.000.000 LİRA' and date '2002' are inscribed along the lower arc of the inner field. An outer border carries a continuous bilingual motto in Turkish and English reading 'BUGÜNÜN ÇOCUKLARI, ELE ELE' and 'TODAY'S CHILDREN, TOMORROW'S WORLD, HAND IN HAND' together with 'DÜNYA'NIN GELECEĞİ', rendered in raised lettering against an oxidized silver finish that contrasts the polished devices.
