Obverse description A lion crouching to the right is depicted in low relief at the center of the field, rendered in the Hellenistic artistic tradition characteristic of Bosporan coinage. An eight-pointed star appears prominently above the lion's back. The entire design is enclosed within a laurel wreath border, with the wreath tied at the base, all set within a dotted beaded outer border.
