Obverse description The national coat of arms of the Republic of Uzbekistan occupies the central field, depicting a rising sun over mountains with a river valley, flanked by cotton bolls and wheat ears, and surmounted by a crescent and star. A ring of twelve five-pointed stars frames the design, representing the twelve provinces of Uzbekistan. The circular legend ЎЗБЕКИСТОН РЕСПУБЛИКАСИ (Republic of Uzbekistan) is inscribed in Cyrillic script along the upper periphery.
