| Reverse description | Elaborate crowned coat of arms of the Principality of Transylvania at centre, featuring the quartered arms with the Transylvanian eagle, the seven Saxon fortresses, and the sun and moon motifs, supported by decorative cartouche-style mantling. The crowned shield is flanked by elaborate baroque scrollwork. The circular Latin legend PAR REG HVN DOM ET SI CO with the date 1668 is distributed around the beaded inner border, with the mint master's initials AF also present. The entire design is contained within the diamond-shaped klippe flan, bordered by a row of beading. |
